Autumn is here and the painted leaves are falling,
the sky above clouded gray and pensive;
and the vast forest trees are swaying and crying,
and each creature is quite apprehensive.
The sky above clouded gray and pensive,
stirrings, low sighs and scents swirl in the atmosphere;
and each creature is quite apprehensive,
it happens yearly in this Northern Hemisphere.
Stirrings, low sighs and scents swirl in the atmosphere,
the nuts drop from trees more and more each day;
it happens yearly in this Northern Hemisphere.
and for winter squirrels hide nuts away.
The nuts drop from trees more and more each day,
no butterfly, hummingbird, no bee, no flowers;
and for winter squirrels hide nuts away,
oh, there is delight in gentle Autumn showers.
No butterfly, hummingbird, no bee, no flowers,
and the vast forest trees are swaying and crying;
oh, there is delight in gentle Autumn showers,
Autumn is here and the painted leaves are falling.
