Autumn Afterglow
AUTUMN AFTERGLOW
As Autumn begins to slowly fade
To make way for the onset of Winter
I watch the changes it has made
As the leaves marched front and center
It seemed as if the Winter snow
Decided to wait a while
To allow an Autumn Afterglow
To show its lofty smile
And Autumn, in splendor gave
A show like none I've known
It took its time as if wanting to save
The leaves the trees had grown
In awe each day I watched this show
As Winter began to unfurl
And the gorgeous Autumn Afterglow
Made a difference in my world
And then the snow of Winter came
Creeping in ever so slow
It seemed as if it came in shame
Ending the Autumn Afterglow
