Autumn Afterglow
The gleaming sight of Autumn’s beautiful afterglow
brings me indelible memories of my wedding day.
Saying “I do” under the withering weeping willow,
as the crimson leaves fell and grass turned to hay.
There is luster in the drifting of medallion leaf
that brings me gratitude and comfortable relief.
The tangerine sunset beneath the harvest moon
bestows memories of a season that brings hues.
For there’s nothing like a cool October afternoon,
as I sit on a park bench and write with my muse.
The brilliance of Autumn’s radiance bestows sanguine
memories, viewing the afterglow of a season so serene.
