Autumn
Autumn leaves, a scenic bloom,
a time of change an eerie tune
as leaves turn golden and trees begin to bare,
nature's scent fills the air.
A blustery walk deep in the forests
rain crashing down in erratic torrents,
the whistling wind, a storm of feathers
as birds lift off in search of better weather.
The season of harvest has come around,
the fields turn amber, their crops outbound.
A pumpkin's golden hide, its orange hue,
apples, carrots, celery collected too.
Golden shards adorn the trees like a crown,
gracefully they come tumbling down.
They crackle as I walk, under my feet,
a melody both soft and fleet.
The season of change, a time of reversal
as summer's performance is dismissed as a rehearsal.
Autumn reminds us that beauty is temporary,
as all good things have an end
but there is always a new beginning around the bend.
Isn't life fantastic?
