Austerity
AUSTERITY ........................16.. 17/4/2012
Once glacial water clear and true, flowed beyond thoughts far and few.
Bores beneath the inner voices, deft of clue and honest choices.
Green, wild, harsh and rarely tame, nothing ever remains the same.
Constant change and constant station a birthright to a nation.
Careless whim and nonchalant disgrace looses people caring face.
Hardened brows and moral decline, frowns on tradition every time.
Yet life evolves to enhance its space and morals must redefine their place
To hold the line and experience truth, generations defined marked by youth.
Lost to war and elders follies, power lust dreams and selfish melancholies
Futures sold to financial kings, while poverty dances to their master strings.
Parasites suckle from families spread while parents hang their head in dread.
A country ravished torn and sold, yet those `involved decline to uphold,
Moral duties, a sense of truth, willingly sit and transport a countries youth
Tears and dread, pain and sorrow all the ingredients of a failed tomorrow.
Lost generations and fellows new, as countries profit from dreams askew.
Revolution hovers like carrion flight and hugs the day and lords the night.
Whispers rise from voices ignored then church and state become deplored.
Destroy a future to pay a price with consequences beyond a moral sacrifice
Resentment festers to pulse and flow through veins of time and finally show,
in lost traditions and values true. As families weep, dissolve and cry adieu.
