A'Thumping

I really don’t want time to fly For life is short already But politics is in my brain A’thumping, strong and steady. I hate to listen to the news, The current state depressing And as November nears, it will get Nastier, I’m guessing. No matter what the outcome I just want it all to end And I hope that past the rancor We can somehow all transcend.

Germany in the 1930s, i.e., its all about the Party and the Party does not care about the people, nor the nation, it just wants POWER! Perhaps the Guinness Book of Records can keep track of how many lies are told between now and November? Yes, by all means move on to greater things! Aloha! Rico

The political divide in this country will never be bridged. Mainly because each individual elected has their own agenda and the voters rarely know what that is until they have been elected.

I'm with you on this - the airwaves are never as nasty as when the campaigning for a big election heats up. Rhetoric, smearing, jockeying, bullying - it's only February and I'm already over it... Great rhymes and message from my favorite current-events poet. Hugs ~ John
