At Midnight

At midnight I meet the devil, in the far corner of my mind. We sit and talk about the past and all the truth I left behind. The things I thought were buried, he reminds me they still remain. No matter the lies I tell myself, I can never out run the pain. I always say I love the truth, but that's not entirely true. For truth can leave you grieving, when the facts come into view. 1/19/19

very clear depiction of the torment in the dark hours and how the enemy lines up facts but never tells the whole truth.

Your are right about the enemy. It is funny sometimes whose voice we choose to hear.
