At Journey's End, Home

Through lands mistral-blown or rife with men’s fights, To seas swollen with sirens and storm clouds, I’ve strayed, a glutton for unwonted sights, And a vagrant soul by wanderlust roused. Sadhus and satyrs have peopled my nights, All of life’s hope and savagery I’ve browsed. But now my feet are too calloused to roam, Ready, at last, to take the long road home.
