...and herein lies one of the big differences between poetry and lyrics. Unless of course your Bob Dylan and then the lines become blurred.

Hmmm :) I'm not so sure, fluff poetry vs fluff lyrics. There's certainly other masters out there, Leonard Cohen, Matt Johnson, Tori Amos; beauty, art, poetry, music, all relative to the beholder. That said my Selling Songs To Set To Music is a musing on the death of poetry and poets having to write lyrics to survive. Love the conversation :) xomo!
