Ashes, Ashes, We All Fall Down Terzanelle Question Ku Chaser

December’s cold wind starts to bite festive are the lights all around yet children are nowhere in sight hurry come quick, what is that sound a bell tolls but what is it for festive are the lights all around something evil came through the door not in song, yet they all fall down a bell tolls but what is it for tragedy struck this little town tiny children hold hands in fear not in song, yet they all fall down they can’t comprehend what they hear school always was a place to play tiny children hold hands in fear many angels were born that day December’s cold wind starts to bite school always was a place to play yet children are nowhere in sight a church bell tolls as a nation mourns why did so many fall?

I so enjoyed rereading this piece again. When I came up with the questionku this was the kind of poetry I had hoped for. Hard hitting and emotional writing.

Images in the poem create a frightful atmosphere. Bell tolls and not for a song. Children are no where to be found.......too good dear.

wow, that is quite admirable to do such a great tribute in terzanelle form. I wrote a poem on the victims of the black plague a long time ago, and I named it after this rhyme as well: they all fall down. It's a very fitting way to do a poem on the children that fell to the shooter. I really liked your poem. Very creative.

Sad write about the tragedy which happened recently..That incident put a damper on Christmas for everyone..Great work honoring the children and families..Thanks for stopping by ....I hope that the snow does not hinder your enjoyment of the Christmas season..For some snow is wonderful but for others I am sure that it means a slow down of outside activities...Sara
