Ascension
We are two souls joining hands,
sitting on the sand,
beneath the Hawaiian winter night sky
Our eyes gazing
at the towering
fire mountain king
And the spirit of the people
moves in our heart
O islands of delight,
sing the wonderful songs of how
from death sprang life
Rising from the depths of the sea,
the islands came to be
Breathing new life with breath so fiery
Ascension from the sea
is more than a story to you and me
It is on display this very moment
as we live and breathe
Sitting around the beach campfire,
your eyes glow with obsidian intensity
As you stare into the basaltic heart of me
Igneous are my thoughts,
volcanic are my silent screams ...
erupting
I want your love to move so deep inside of me always,
I’m erupting with lava desire
You want my love to flow so deep inside of you always,
You’re erupting with lava desire
As the burning embers of the campfire
rises higher and higher
Ascension
Let the burning embers glow always in our hearts,
as we stoke the island fire of love
Together
we watch the burning embers rise from the fire
Rising higher and higher
Ascension
And as we embrace and feel the heat
of the burning embers glow,
our passion rises ...
