First of all thank you very much Bill! Because I consider you a true friend, I hope you don't find me arrogant. I would like to explain this poem to you from my view. It tells a story with a beginning and an end. The image I was trying to create was the Ascension up a mountain pass. While explaining my emotional introspection. The poem is also meant to be somewhat of a concrete. Where belonging which is also the end word, slowly ascends to shorter and shorter lines. As I was writing it not really planned out also decided to include a rhyme scheme in the last five lines. I appreciate your work sir! I appreciate you appreciating mine. Cheers to your honor A.S.
