As the World Turns
Deer course the forest's pathways
Birds feather their nests high above
Ocean's waves lap lazily up onto shore
Rocky stars' flickers, particles thereof
Traffic jams do not concern them
Neither do stock market gyrations
Affairs of state are not on their radar
Nor are fierce wars between nations
The world turns from day to night
Sun's rays yielding to pale moonlight
Madly, man circles the globe by rail and by air
Nature shrugs unimpressed, as if he were not there
