As the Night Drew Near
The day came to a close as the night drew near,
the twilit dusk shined while the moon did appear.
All tulips closed and the birdies rested in their nest,
as the baby bunnies find slumber and tenderly rest.
The morning rises and the sunbeams shine brilliant,
dew drops linger on those tulip buds so resilient.
A chance came for us to hold hands on a walk,
in the southern trail, we saw a Red-Tail hawk.
He was majestic and mighty, robust with no fright,
and as he ascended with rush he flew out of sight.
Our day ends with Mother Nature’s embrace so clear,
then the day came to a close, as the night drew near.
