Mother Nature has painted me a beautiful picture today. Sometimes there doesn't have to be a sun in the sky to have a beautiful day. Much enjoing this quiet morning.
Flowing in the wind ~ And blowing off the trees
Landing in my backyard ~ A million colored leaves
Leafless branches broken ~ Spread out on my lawn
Crackle from the footsteps ~ From two newborn spotted fawn
A squirrels nest way up high high ~ Hidden from summer's season
A honeyed hive on the tree ~ Warmth...to keep the bees in
A back round colored grey ~ A sunless dreary sky
Two cardinals sitting on my fence ~ Their redness caught my eye
As I sit and sip my coffee ~ Looking through my window
Mother Nature paints a picture ~ As I sit and watch the wind blow
