As I Go Away

When my day is done here, I will leave with good cheer. And in my afterglow, My soul wants you to know: May my memory be, Make you truly happy. Was love my cheery style When you think of my smiles? Did I whisper softly Words that touched you deeply? Did you feel more happy When you read my story? Did I bring joy to you In the days that once cued? Do you feel cheer and joy In our fond play and ploy? Do the echoes still squeeze In the cool, windy breeze? My friend, let tears be brief, Dance and sing, do not grief. I will meet you again, In a land beyond pain Until then, just see me In your fond memories. For my day is done here, I go to Spirit spheres. Leon Enriquez 03 October 2017 Singapore
