Intersection upon adventitious
encounter, when first seed of genocide planted
unsuspecting subsequent rapid usurpation
quickly eradicated rightful breed
of what coalesced into thee Americas.
I experience stir of echoes haunting
Perkiomen Valley, Pennsylvania,
which lands ceded To William Penn
for a song (and lap dance routine)
courtesy Lenni Lenape peoples.
When the concept of land ownership
brokered between Europeans
and indigenous tribes
the latter occupants
oblivious to land acquisition,
(a concept alien
to autochthonous population),
which posed catastrophic disadvantage
upon onset of fatal impact.
I too flirt with the cosmology
that no tract upon terra firma
(housing aggregate body of flora and fauna
nsync with resources atop and below
demarcated circumscribed area)
can be rightfully owned.
What or who (pray tell)
dispenses the privilege,
whereby an individual
steeped in the construct of capitalism
gains the inalienable right
to purchase blocked off section
of Earthly paradise
(before edenic once isolated
unbroken tremendous expanse
of terrain suitable for agriculture such as:
forest, mountain, prairie, river, valley...
snapped up courtesy savvy buyers
née aggressive men with steely resolve
sought to mortgage Mother Nature
for coloninialization, commercialization,
industrialization, or other utilization,
when verdant rolling hills
decreed as prime real estate.
I (an American with Semitic genealogy)
dismisses western establishmentarian
credo, diktat, ethos... notion
constituting appropriation of property
(namely securing rightful title
to accrue and retain monies
levied courtesy legal ordinances
or strong arm tactics
exploiting potentially deemed riches
latent within soil (leant) green.
Unbeknownst origin of
mine antithetical, atypical,
enigmatical, fantastical, heretical...
viewpoints markedly divergent
from prevalent usurpation
indeed linkedin with fledgling
United States canonical, dogmatical,
geopolitical, and more than
hypothetical manifest destiny.
Heartsickness arises pondering
abomination, brutalization, cannibalization,
decimation, eradication, federalization...,
whereby relatively happy go lucky
matrimonial ceremonies bolstered longevity
of some arbitrary tribal nation,
their prime concern constituted
appeasing pantheon of
gods and/or goddesses that populated
as their webbed, wide world
spun one after another generation
keeping intact oral traditions
until cultural disaster struck
ferocious deadly blow
severely renting asunder,
profoundly wreaking havoc
upon naively innocent natives
"white man's" duplicity,
hypocrisy, mendacity...
gussied up as one cruel hoax
ousting defenseless native inhabitants
foisting, dislodging, begetting
flagrant eminent domain.
