As a Child of God
I am God’s child according to Bible’s sense
Surely His heir of heavenly essence…
Being loved by Him in all His providence
With His mercy for me midst gracious evidence,
I strive to do His will along faith’s persistence!
I am God’s child, imparted with divine nature
Whom He saved from hell’s torture…
While guided toward good works’ posture
And granted with abilities for service-gesture,
I serve Him, leading others to His fellowship’s pasture!
I am God’s child*, bestowed with life eternal
Now, I’m a recipient of His blessings, specially spiritual…
As endowed with provisions surpassing the ephemeral
Prodded to seek His kingdom against pleasures so carnal,
I submit to Him, surrendering to power, mighty perpetual!
*Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.
