Arctic Blast

Winter dons his scarf of white
and lets his snowflakes gently fall
Adorning the trees in snowy delight
As his cold winds come to call

At times he'll send an arctic blast
To make us shiver and shake
With icy fingers a cold spell is cast
and there's a freeze upon the lake

But when he conjures up too much snow
 He transforms into a wizard
As he makes a fierce wind blow
and buries us in a blizzard!

Snow can be as devastating as water and fire, an avalanche can be catastrophic and I marvel at rescuers sometimes finding skiers involved in avalanches, alive. Excellent and enjoyable poem Joseph. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Great description of a wintry day. Malta is relatively warmer though the weekend spells lots of rain.

"He transforms into a wizard, and buries us in a blizzard!" Even though this thought brings a smile, because it's cute- you speak so much truth, Joseph. Winter is wonderful, in its own way, but the warmer weather, I certainly enjoy. My best to you. :) Hugs, Brandy

Alluring and challenging; two opposing sides of a cyclical season distinctly described in your poem. The Yin and Yang of life. Nicely done, Joseph!...ab

Blizzards, snow and arctic blasts make me shiver, Joseph! Luckily, our Maltese winters are quite acceptable when compared to yours. Regards // paul
