April's Showers
April’s Showers
Parched earth begs for spring rain
To shed the winter’s dust,
Playful raindrop shadows
Sizzle on thirsty ground
To bathe lifeless furrows.
Parched earth begs for spring rain
Blessings from April’s tears,
Pledge of fertility,
A floral tapestry,
Spring’s sign - virility.
Parched earth begs for spring rain,
Downpour streams or soft mists,
Inhales the storm’s perfume,
Blooms drip serenity
When clouds like blossoms bloom.
Parched earth begs for spring rain
As April chants rain songs
While sun and storm converge,
Earth’s brittle shell refreshed,
To make rainbows emerge.
