April Fool's Day
April fool’s day isn’t very funny this year.
It is snowing hard in April, piling high, I fear.
Clearly winter doesn’t want to say good bye.
Spring is backing off, hiding somewhere, shy.
So the snow keeps on falling, falling all around.
The birds are not singing and there is no sound.
Except for plows going up and down the street.
While snowed in, spring is only a dream so sweet.
