Anxiety

Anxiety's a *****. Always feeling too tense. Awake half of the night. Angry now at myself. Apprehensive a lot. Ants crawling under skin. Am I getting too thin?

Anxiety is a bitch indeed, and so is OCD, all so closely related, far too closely.... sigh.... it gave you a high placement, but if i could choose I'd choose for no anxiety plus no placement.

Funny you should mention that Sara. I was kinda fading away from not eating at that time. Then the antidepressants for a year piled on the pounds. Now I am off them, I notice I am losing them again. A midwife I worked with once said...!If you are looking for bones, there's plenty in a graveyard..."

Thank you Lainey. I can convey very well the feelings I have felt. I believe now I suffered a type of post traumatic stress disorder following my marraige breakup. At the same time I was having Doctors refusing to come to Labour Ward, on night duty. My mother died in the hospice just as I was having an angiogram and then the cardiologist insinuated I had 4 years to live. That was six years ago...

I know all too well about the curse of anxiety. I have anxiety-panic disorder and have dealt with it since early childhood. Even with medication I still have occasional flare ups. I could totally relate to your poem. Congrats on your well written Pleiades, Jean! Thank you for supporting my contest. Blessings!
