Another Time
Faces pass slowly in the midnight breeze
shy eyes lock for a solitary moment
hearts race and fireflies flutter
at the thought that
two old souls could reunite.
Bringing back memories
of lives and loves lost
A shooting star falls in the distance
distracting fate
for a mere instant
history is left in the past
spirits drift away
awaiting
another time
another place
