Refrain: It happens often in the hills, Where my heart has always been, Love beyond description spills, From twilight dreams, lives fulfilled. (I) As it was when I met my love, the gentle smile, the warm hand, seeking my presence, gliding above, helping me to see the joy of closeness. (II) His intimate gifts, silencing my pain, Reminding my heart that I’d never be the same, Even though I knew I had nothing to gain, I felt like I’d been blessed by God’s sweet grace. REFRAIN (III) Time seemed to stand still for my life, As he held me, promising to abide, Always near, taking away my strife, Reassuring me, his love would always be mine. (IV) When I first knew I’d met my love, true, I thanked the Lord for this beautiful romance, My time with my love just flew and I knew, Without him by my side, I’d cry a tear or two. REFRAIN (V) Although I can’t explain the feelings felt By my heart who loves him still, There is no doubt, the cold he’d melt, Silencing my grief and every fear I bore. (VI) When he left me for another lover It seemed my world turned gray, His reasons I’d seek, but never uncover. He tired of me and a new love did seek. REFRAIN (VII) I’ll ever love and miss him so, But I doubt he thinks of me, Sometimes I see him, a soft shadow, Who beckons to me through my grief. (VIII) Never will I ever find another, Who I will love so completely. This is a feeling I’ll feel for no other, Because of him, my heart still bleeds. REFRAIN

Dear Gina, oh how you beautifully captured the essence of love and the bittersweet nature of relationships. The way you express deep emotions is truly moving. What a deeply enriching heartfelt exploration of love's complexities—Autumn Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

We must be grateful for love. We remember the good times or moments. We grieve and forever that is part of us too though it dims. The refrain mood is a setting…twilight in the hills “where my heart has always been.” Enjoyed your lyrics, Gina! Hugs
