Another Day
Sunlight glistened in the morning dew,
while a songbird sang a song I knew.
Awake my sleepy friend, come play,
for you have earned another day.
Flowers greet with a scent so sweet,
trees sway as the breeze they meet.
I stroll through a garden filled with life,
as I leave behind my struggles and strife.
I sit and ponder what this day may bring,
while this moment of peace I closely cling.
I thank the creator for this gift he gave,
a beautiful day I will cherish and save.
