Anna and the French Kiss
ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS
It was but a fleeting moment,
That evening by the Seine.
A moment she’d always remember,
Though she’d never see him again.
The briefest of brief romances
That began when she took a chance
And said yes to a handsome Frenchman,
When he asked her for a dance.
It was her last night in Paris;
She thought it could do no harm.
And she had to admit the gentleman
Possessed a certain charm
Later, they strolled in the moonlight
And, on the midnight hour,
That handsome Frenchman kissed her,
Beneath the Eiffel Tower
