Animal Company

I have given a bear hug to a grizzly, and the grizzly responded gently in kind to me. Zoo born cheetah cubs have played with each other on top of me, while their mother affectionately licked my feet. I've stood before an elephant, a massive giant, who delicately caressed me with her trunk. I have swum with dolphins playfully, and a raccoon visits on my fire escape occasionally. Animal company is the greatest companionship I have ever found. I do like people, but I like it better when they're not around.
