Angry winds blew my dreams away,
filling my heart with winter snow.
Finding love, I've lost it today,
angry winds blew my dreams away.
I sent my lover on his way,
I truly wish it were not so.
Angry winds blew my dreams away,
filling my heart with winter snow.
I truly wish it were not so,
for I now regret each tear shed
and dread the fact I let him go.
I truly wish it were not so,
he begged to stay, yet I said no.
My temper flared from things he'd said,
I truly wish it were not so,
for I now regret each tear shed.
I sit at my window and sigh,
Always hopeful that he’d walk by.
My heart craves to see him once more,
Sauntering along, as before.
Oh, if only dreams could come true,
Regrettably, they seldom do.
Romantic dreamers chase rainbows,
Yearning for love that never shows.
