Angel's In the Wind

It howled down the canyon Like a wolf on a ridge No longer invisible As it rocked the bridge It came with a chill It came with a bite I remember it hit me Just before night I stopped to listen For I could hear A voice from my past One that I hold dear It carried a scent I’ll never forget Along with a memory That I’ll never regret As it blew through me Sweetheart I knew The wind carries angels Ones just like you Written for the voices in the wind contest.
