Angels In Clouds
Today I found myself at a favorite cafe quite by accident
A little place of rough hewn benches placed
At the edge of the sea
All bent
The windows were shuttered and closed but I sat
Welcomed by the sight of a peaceful day
Watching grebes and pelicans
Find fish for breakfast
Angels in clouds
Their petticoats billowed around them, feet kicking
Brewing a storm to their delight, amid giggles
Laughter heard on the ground
From their tears
I get wet
The sun parts the clouds to form a window
Through which to see the world
His rays reach out briefly
To caress the waves
And me
1st place win
