Angels and Demons
Angels and Demons
I have a demon on my shoulder, and as the days go by it gets colder and colder. My other shoulder carries an angel, who makes those days feel a little less painful. My demon tripped me and made me fall, until I was left here with nothing at all. My angel reminds me every day, to have faith, hope and to not stray. My demon laughs and thinks he's in control, but my angel says to stay focused and pursue my goal. My demon gets inside my head, but my angel says pray to God instead. My demon is angry and makes me cry, but my angel holds me up so I do not comply. My demon can be fierce and strong, but my angel reminds me where I belong. My demon tempts me to give in, but my angel is rooting for me to win. My demon took things away from me, but my angel is here to oversee. My demon knows I can be weak, but my angel tells me to turn the other cheek. My demon is tired and growing impatient, but my angel said to be thankful for my achievements. My demon will always be here, but my angel said to have no fear. My angel is winning and helping me through, to remain focused, strong and start anew.
