Angel Wings

A halo glow, faint, it’s shadow, hangs on gossamer web of angel wings. Voices flutter through naked space. They float on clouds of love high, high above the universe. Singing praise and adoration of man in his purest form. The portal breeched in beams of energy bursts reveal nothing to us, as we give a slight tilt of the head and tightening of the brow. Yet, something is amiss, we feel, as our equilibrium shifts ever so slightly. They come to us, through us all around, over, and wondrous to behold, if it were possible. Yet, we vacillate, we speculate, we vacillate more. He sends His love, His promise, for any, for all, or none. It is our choice to believe, or not. He simply wants to know that in our heart of hearts, we recognize the greater power which is His and His alone. The Power is over, under and through us. Call it what you will, but recognize it. Angelic beings exist because of this power. They interfere with us in ways known only by those who are touched, and by those who can feel their presence. There are many names for this Power and for the angels. The names grew out of a primitive time when every family unit was separate, when each was its own little nation. Yet this single power had revealed Himself to all of them, separately, and many names were given Him. Therefore, today, there are many who believe that their concept of the The Power, is the only true concept. Some feel it is their duty to convince others of this fact, even going so far as to kill those who disagree. The Power reigns supreme. His word is law and some say prophets came to foretell His law and judgement. Some say He came Himself to give the message. His name, established in peace and love will endure forever, outlasting even the fragments of this world floating in decay. While angels continue their song of praise. © Apr 15 2011 CGH

God has many names -- Jehovah, the Massiah, etc. I don't think it matters which religion we practice or which name we call Him, as long as we have faith, Charles. Too many wars have been ignited by religious differences; surely, this would not make Him happy. Your poem has a powerful message and if we all took it to heart, we'd live in a better world.
