Angel On Fire

She was young and sweet She had not learned, still innocent The world and the way it is today Not everyone is nice that you meet She thought that she was an angel, Heaven sent But it did not turn out that way Home coming queen, cheerleader, happy cheers Honor student, top of her class was where she was at A friend to everyone, a stranger she did not know On the inside, she had a lot of fears At home, nothing she could do about that She wore a mask, so it would not show Then her wings were set on fire And the Devil threw her halo away Burnt in the flames, before she had a chance to fly In her dreams, then she knew desire That was her only chance to pray All she could do was ask why Years and years went by She was told lies and never a clue She was an angel, one day she would be fine Learning young of what evil people really do It can happen to anyone's daughter, this happened to mine

It is hard to see our children, who are so pure in heart and one day, is suddenly, shall we say, sort of kidnapped by an evil force. Yes, it is important to believe that goodness will win in the end and your daughter will be free. Hi, Danny, good to see more of your writing here. Hope you are doing well. Your friend, Caroline.

This is a genuinely moving reflection that exhibits your great love for your daughter and your concern for her future. I'm sorry she suffered at the hands of "evil people." Hopefully, she can recover with your help. Thank you for sharing this lovely write. Love, Carolyn
