And Into Eternity We Were Destined, Paired

And Into Eternity We Were Destined, Paired I dreamt of the romantic silken bed we shared As night's heaving soft-breath matched your beauty divine And into eternity we were destined, paired To eat love's sensual feast, forever entwined. Among the heart's glowings and sweetest of treasures Lives again, first kiss from your voluptuous lips Life gave a plenitude of love beyond measure Yet that heavenly joy away we both let slip. When the dying sun its saddest weeping rays cast We knew not that fate and time was so very short As in deep fervor, we thought love forever lasts And its faithful renderings nothing could abort. Alas! Innocence was the blade that our love slew. In youth's blindness, tragic renderings, I lost you. Robert J. Lindley, 4-09- 2011 Sonnet, Doubles ( Reality Of Life, Its Many Hidden Blades That Slash ) A memory of youth and loss..... ************************* Love's Depths- Feastings Of Sensual Pleasures From within its breath, that intolerable creep swirls of dimming mist, echoes of shimmering pains agonizing as a spear-blade plunged in deep harvest of the dark- evidence, ill-gotten gains. Reality- none but the strongest will survive in this universe, wherein darkness battles light man, a creature of mortal flesh- briefly alive vainly celebrates, banquets of his blinded sight. Dream, its glowings- rivers of nirvana and love to be, to hold, true blessings of romantic glee amidst brevity of life, this world's push and shove paradise, undefeated castle, you and me. The moment, its bounty, magnificent treasures Life's truth, Love's depths- feastings of sensual pleasures. Robert J. The most powerful words always come from the heart. People say it is just a muscle that pumps blood to all the other parts that fuel the brain. The heart is truly the key in so many ways, the soul fuels the heart, it tends it with Love as much as it can each day. Love never dies, for the soul moves onto another form, if lucky another place. Love never dies Lindley, this you must always remember. Beautiful first poem. I can see your wife in it all the way. All your poems are big Winners.Leanne xx

Thank you, my friend. Your words reveal the depths of a soul that sees truth and light. That truly understands that we are far more than mere flesh and bones. Our capacity to love is what sets us apart from mere beasts of the field. And sad also is our capacity to adapt to this dark world and embrace its many evils. Yet love again is our saving grace and the treasure that so oft saves us from that tragic state of darkness! God bless.....
