Ancestry
Do you know your Ancestry Tree?
We may be related you and me,
The branches stretch from shore to shore,
With unknown relatives galore,
Different genes all mingled and mix
It's the luck of the draw as we can't pick,
And choose,
Colours of different hues,
Black, White, Brown or yellow,
Fat, Thin, Tall, Short,
Or girl or fellow.
How did I become me?
And become part of this family tree.
Are we all from one seed
Indeed, I think that is so,
And God nurtured that seed to grow,
Big and strong,
Placing us all where we belong.
In this colourful family tree,
Sharing the same ancestry.
