An Ode to Frankie
Frankie is tremendous, long may he roam
A charming doggie with a friendly soul
He brings endless joy to our lives and home
Splendid as gold, many hearts he has stole
Loves his owner, clear to ascertain that
There could not have been a finer pairing
Frankie melts one's heart with his huge brown eyes
How he loves a lap on which to be sat
Content to be in the lodge we're sharing
It’s no surprise he has us mesmerised.
He has you completely under his spell
Dogs adore fuss, we realise that’s true
When one is not well our Frankie can tell
Frankie will come and sit right beside you
Lights up the lodge does our dear four legged chum
With Frankie around there's never a frown
Since he trotted in our lives are enriched
For him hearts beat alike a frenzied drum
Puts smiles on our faces when we feel down
Frankie is adored, he has us bewitched.
Just one look from those eyes and we're smitten
He melts our hearts alike pure molten gold
In poetry and stars it is written
His glory a story meant to be told
A treasure, a pleasure beyond measure
Paw prints on hearts for sure he will create
With the magic of his charm we are blessed
How he loves it when we’re all together
That is when his tail will shake to relate
Frankly our Frankie is simply the best.
