You try your best, yet fall far short, of what you know my will requires. Cease by your strength, my grace to gain. Come unto me and rest. Rebellious heart by trouble torn. Restless, dejected, and forlorn. Get off your independence horse. Come unto me, find rest. All who are burdened down with stress, by cares of life that wear and press. Let me your heavy burdens bear. Come, and in me find rest. You were not made to live alone, to hobble hurt, to moan and groan, but in me to find, your purpose blest. So, come to me, enjoy my rest.

A beautiful and soothing write, David! If we would only heed Jesus's call, how much sweeter would life be? Blessings, Kim M

A wonderful lyric David, better than free verse. You could most certainly put this to music. Well Done...
