I met him (my true love) one summer day, oh, I thought he was the most handsome man; he asked for a walk and I said okay, soon our love began. We liked all the same things, reading, nature and poetry that sings; so, before long we were shopping for rings, we married in snow, I wore a white fur. That day is a sweet blur, still it makes a tear stir; we were happy and our life we planned, oh, yes it was going to be so grand. Forever you promised to hold my hand, beloved you did not stay; but are a name upon, I open the old gate and come to pray. Then, I turn leaving a red love rose on, stone- where heavenly angels guard on wings; this love an incomplete blur, and death too soon for this man. _____________________________ July 19, 2018 Poetry/Rhyme/My True Love Copyright Protected, ID 18-1044-271-01 All Rights Reserved. just not fair,I hope you find it again if you even want to take that chance again. It makes it that much harder to expose yourself to that vulnerability when you've learned from experience just how utterly consuming and life altering the devastation can be.When life smashes you into a million little pieces Im not sure if anyone else can help you pick them up. Ive read several of your poems over the years and tho Im no sage,I really believe you deserve another chance and I hope you find the way.

Sorry for the long comment. You know you've rambled when the Soup makes you remove characters.

Your poem was really really nice and I certainly enjoyed reading it, that's why I am commenting on it to let you know that your poem sure was a beauty, but unfortunately I couldn't place it in the contest because the instructions were really clear that it must not be death, can be any reason why the story end as incomplete, but must not be death, both has to live, but not with each other, I hope that you can forgive me for not placing you, good luck and have a nice day,

I understand Faraz, sadly my only true love is dead. Of course I forgive you, it was my fault... perhaps I can use the poem in another contest sometime...
