An Angel Born On the 4th of July, Her Eyes and Favorite Colour As I Say Goodbye

Her eyes are the color of ice on a cool winters twilight, drastically different then the color that's in her soul. An acidy lime green that melts away all the plastic of this synthetic world with a hiss & a fizzle. From the moment you were born there were lights across the sky to dazzle passerby, coincidence is a blind mans reason. Independence lives in this woman, not the Fourth of July. I didn't commit treason, but I never understood why.....

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Your word choices make this poem "pop" for me. Hiss, Fizzle, and dazzle gave it immediate character and zing. Nice!
