American Idol (Written For Linda-Marie's Contest)

American Idol Those rolling eyes and special quirks I love the way you smile and smirk. Sly sharp barbed Simon Cowell, Caustic comments make me howl. Your silent sneer and stately smear, Make some contestants shake with fear. That is one way to sort them out! Before they cry, make signs, or shout. But when someone is really good, Before a single word is heard, Your grin and pensive silent stare Wait to lavishes kind praises, earned. I love your show, its rhyme and reason. So much talent makes watching pleasing. Applaud grows throughout each season. By public opinion, singers gain dominion. Simon et al scout talents each year. Approving smiles to each heart is dear. King of the “Jungle…music that is. Singing winners arise and greet “Show Biz”! © Dane Smith-Johnsen May 14, 2010 Poetic Form: Rhyme

Oh my goodness, we picked not only the same show but the same character! I never miss a beat in following Idol. Who do you think will win this year? Good luck in the contest, dear friend. Love, Carolyn

You have nailed Simon to a "T" !!! I don't think Idol will be the same without his scarcastic wit, and his snide remarks! ~ Love, Carrie
