Am I a Poet
Am I a poet ...let me see
Iambic verse it’s Greek to me
I don’t rate Shakespeare he’s a bore
and writing sonnets I abhor
yet, I try to write poetry
I’ll write beside the azure sea
or when I’m sipping breakfast tea
I’ve never been arty before ...
am I a poet?
I won’t take negativity
I’ll bring some fun and can’t agree
humor is bad - show me the law,
and those who mock me I’ll ignore
I pen daft rhymes, just let me be -
am I a poet?
