Alone To Oneness
I am special, or so I thought,
No one can understand me,
Alone and lost, so hard I fought,
The love of God I didn't see,
Challenges braved, I called my own,
None to enfold me in love,
Perplexed in confusions unknown,
I never did look above,
Now turning back, I clearly see,
It's something all humans face,
Soul disconnectedness we flee,
We're a spiritual race,
This quest for truth unites us all,
We long for the taste of God,
Without His poured out grace, we'll fall,
Without Christ, onward can't plod,
We all are one in God's dear sight,
Always in need of His care,
In this dark world, we need His light
To steer us when in despair.
