Alone
Alone once more, the shadows fall,
In silence deep, I hear their call.
Whispers of dreams that danced on air,
Now fade to echoes, stripped and bare.
The sun dips low, a crimson sigh,
Painting the sky with a longing cry.
Each heartbeat lingers, a quiet refrain,
In the tapestry woven from joy and pain.
The world keeps turning, oblivious, free,
While I chase moments that used to be.
Footsteps fade on forgotten lanes,
Where laughter once bloomed like summer rains.
Yet in the stillness, a spark ignites,
A flickering flame in the coldest nights.
For solitude cradles the seeds of thought,
In the garden of solitude, wisdom is sought.
So I breathe in the twilight, embrace the night,
Find comfort in shadows, in soft silver light.
Alone once more, but not quite bereft,
For within me blooms the hope of what’s left.
The stars wink above with stories to share,
Of solitary journeys, of hearts laid bare.
In silent embrace, I learn to explore,
The beauty of being alone once more.
