Inspired by the painting “Midnight”
by Marko Mavrovich
lift moon high,
swaddled in clouds
between
two slender limbs —
soothing wailele.*
pontoon boat
far low,
quietly
nesting.
Hawaiian
aloha
breaching the tall mast.
mahina orchestrates
the
cool sapphire cascade.
