All Too Often

we bear the weight then die
upon some cross and enter old age
only to have our socks knocked off by what we see
and then all too often it's a 'rest home' for those of us and you

Sadly it's sometimes very true. My mom's family(sisters) are going pretty strong into their 80's. I hope I can be that way!

i've lost relatives in their twenties and eightees...all did live a free life
