All The Different Clouds

All the different clouds... 
in the sky today 
Some of them are white... 
and some of them are grey 
Some of them look like cotton 
Some look like rivers in the sky 
There are many different clouds... 
And they drift on by
 
All the different colors... 
in the sky today 
There are many different pictures 
I watch them fade away 
And then another cloud approaches 
Seems like it broke in two 
And now beyond the different clouds 
I see the sky is blue
 
All the different clouds... 
In the sky today 
if by chance they do come back 
Well, that would be okay 
But now all the different clouds...  
they have gone away 
And now the sky is shining blue
It's such a beautiful day

Marikate Kingston October 2, 2026 at 2:43 PM Your poem brought back childhood memories to me Charles, reminding me of the times my still best friend and I would lie down in her yard deciding what each cloud above looked like. What a fluffy, creative poem that makes me want to paint clouds with my watercolors, a lovely, soft, peaceful write. I enjoyed the comment from Gershon below as he used the adjective "dreamy" when describing your poem, so true.

Its funny l have said to my husband a couple times of late have you noticed the clouds today when we are in the car! We take them for granted and don't even see them ….yet they are a thing of great beauty and so interesting in their shapes etc….Debx
