All In Vain

moonlit tears
darkness born fears
moving at the speed of terror
hatred consumed minds
throw faces into fire
heating the misery in all who see
one more night
we'll make it til light
hopeful minds
holding tight

hate and rage
thrown to tame
the "beasts" screaming to live
another down
without a sound
silent screams heard faintly
mist of death fires of hate
burning weak bones that fall
innocence crushed and victimized
un-just souls stand tall

blood covered vows
to take beyond now
crisis remembered in hopes of no return
head counts still remain
and hatred continues to gain
again again again again
genocide reigns

hopes to remember
knowings to prevent
all lived in vain
