All In a Spring Day

first blossoms
on the cherry tree . . .
dawn winks pink

the honey bee
finds blue hyachinth . . .
the peaking sun

the empty garden
as twilight’s sky
spills violet

Great images of Spring and the promise that it brings. Best of luck in the contest. As for my absence, we had a house built. The planning for that and all the things that go with it have taken up my creative space. The worst is over; most of the sand in the yard is now covered with pavers or plants, so back to the poetry. Thanks for keeping with me.

Beautiful palette of colors and senses, Andrea. I think I like the winking dawn most of all (as if the sun knows something we don't). That or it's just barely tipping over the horizon and I'm reading to much into it ... lol.

Your spoiling us Andrea with a fabulous triptych haiku, and you thread a dawn to dusk theme throughout, colorful imagery bursting out in each section, big contender, a haiku chain indeed best of luck in the contest, cheers David
