All Day I Waited

               All day I waited,
        for a severe rain storm to start;
     the sun disappeared and dark gray clouds swirled,
        and the birds became quiet.
  It began with a wind blowing my plants and flowers,
  I really did fear for their safety and was worried;
     then, the rain came in a torrent,
  it lasted a moment-   then, the sun came out again !
