All Creatures Big and Small
Fireflies mimic the stars,
Tapestries in the sky.
Moths are drawn to the flame,
In the blink of an eye.
Salmon swim up river,
Then die after they spawn.
Sharks will search for prey,
All day then dusk to dawn.
The symbol of peace will ring,
On the wings of a Dove.
Eagles soar through the air,
And spy from high above.
A Fox will raid the coop,
And kill only to feast.
Man, most cunning of all,
Will dine upon the beast.
